Happening #9 - Chelsea

posted by Kevin House on

For our 9th happening, we popped up on the world-famous King's Road. We had our full collection of clothing and accessories on offer, with over 200 styles (that's around 3 times the range currently on the website). This was also our first collaboration with the wonderful Sam's Sake, who used the basement level of our shop to offer a full sake tasting and consuming experience :-). Our favourite sake bars in Japan have always seemed to be in basements, and Sam's did a great job of recreating that.

Happening #6 - Covent Garden

posted by Kevin House on

Unfortunately our much anticipated visit to Covent Garden in June was cancelled due to a misunderstanding. We were very disappointed as we'd been so excited to have the chance to pop up in such a prestigious fashion location as Floral Street. It's where a certain Mr Paul Smith started out (and still has his flagship store). But we still love Covent Garden and we hope we'll get another chance to pop up there one day.

Happening #1 - St. Katharine Docks

posted by Kevin House on

In November, we opened our first pop-up shop in the amazing surroundings of St. Katharine Docks, right beside Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. It was great to be able to fit out the shop to our own design, and we were welcomed enthusiastically by the local residents. It was sad to leave, but Piccadilly was too tempting to refuse :-) Here are a few pictures from that popup   the shopfront - beautiful antique wood and curved glass a selection of our Japanese designer clothing the view from our shop across the West Dock a closeup of one of our little helpers another view of the shopfront
